Classes reflect the results of research: An introductory lecture on general translation theory is offered
each semester; seminar topics alternate within the general framework of translation action research.
Classes include:
- A lecture Introduction into General Translation Theory plus tutorial (for beginners) is offered
every semester.
- Advanced Seminars alternate among the topics Culture & Translation, Textlinguistic Dimensions of
Translation, Text Terminology and LSP Translation and Multidimensional Translation (MuTra).
- The Translation Workshops Subtitling (in conjunction with Titelbild GmbH/Berlin) and Audiodescription
(in conjunction with Titelbild GmbH/Berlin Munich) are offered as MuTra Advanced Training and PhD Seminars
(www.translationconcepts.org).
- An International PhD School is offered on a regular basis. Information is continuously
updated under www.translationconcepts.org.
- Regular doctoral colloquia are offered once each semester. Schedules are made available at the
